Kalimantan

Borneo is another wilderness, a close second to Papua and Moluccas together for the largest forest area in the country. Asiatic fauna of the big mammal types abound here, and you can see gibbons, sun bear, and orangutans. Long and wide rivers, being the core of life in Borneo, are lined up with houses and civilization. Uniquely Kalimantan’s experiences, such as shopping in a floating market and getting through a hanging bridge among tall, thin trees at a tropical rainforest, are unlikely to be found in other parts of Indonesia.
