Bondowoso have some of the most beautiful natural attractions in East Java, from Gunung Raung to various waterfalls including Polo Agung, Tancak Kembar, and Blawan. There are other attractions in the city known as a city "tapai" (fermented casava), especially the historical sights, such as the sarcophagus from the megalithic age and Monumen Gerbong Maut.
